I have added a recurring membership option to the Dialogflow Toolkit course bundle.
Here are some important things to know about the recurring membership plan.
1 You can cancel anytime
You don't need to get on a phone call with someone. You don't have to send me an email first.
You can just log in to your account, and you will see a Cancel button there. When you click on the button, it is sufficient to cancel the membership.
You can even cancel 5 minutes after joining (and I will explain the benefit of this later in this article).
Note: the image you see above will not exactly match the look and feel on my site. I have taken screenshots from another course which is on the same platform (Teachable).
2 Your subscription will be valid for the full month even if you cancel midway
Even if you cancel 5 minutes after joining, you will have access to the entire month. Example: you join on August 1st and cancel immediately. You will still have access to all the material till September 1st.
Note: this doesn't mean your initial payment will be returned to you. This is not a free trial.
3 You can upgrade to lifetime access any time
As you might know, the lifetime access is a 1-time payment which gives you lifetime access to the course bundle. That is, you will get all additional material I create for no extra charge.
You can upgrade from your monthly recurring membership to lifetime access any time by paying the difference + $10 processing fee.
E.g. Suppose you join the recurring membership at $30 per month. After two months, suppose the lifetime price is $329. You can upgrade to lifetime access by paying $329 + $10 - (2 x $30) = $279
Note that the upgrade will be based on the price of the Toolkit on the day you send me the email asking for the upgrade, and not on the price of the Toolkit when you first joined the recurring membership.
Just send me an email and I am happy to do the upgrade.
4 You can get additional discounts on the upgrade
If you leave me a review for any of the courses listed here, I will subtract $30 from the upgrade for each course you review.
E.g. For the scenario above, suppose you leave a review for the Dialogflow Conversation Design course. You can then subtract $30 from the upgrade amount we calculated in the previous step ($279) and pay only $249.
5 Your recurring membership price will always be the one you started with
I will be raising the price of the recurring membership over time, but even if I do raise the price you will keep paying only the price that you started with.
E.g. You join at a price of $30 per month. A few months later, I change the monthly price to $35 per month. The new price will only apply to those who join after the price increase, while everyone who joined before the price change will continue to pay the old price.
Naturally, if you cancel in the middle for a few months and decide to rejoin, your monthly price will be based on when you rejoined and not when you initially joined.
6 The monthly recurring membership is a good way to do a 30 day paid trial
In case you are wondering why I have started the article writing about the cancellation process, it isn't because I think my courses are so bad that you will look to cancel immediately. 🙂
Since you can cancel anytime and also upgrade for a very nominal processing fee, the monthly recurring membership is a good way to try my courses for a month before deciding whether you wish to get the lifetime access to the Dialogflow Toolkit.
7 I don't have control over which credit cards are accepted
Since I use a third party (Teachable) for hosting my courses as well as collecting the payments, I have basically zero control over which payments the third party will accept for recurring billing.
If your credit card doesn't work for some reason, then unfortunately there isn't much I can do about that. You could try using a different credit card.
8 Only one manual PDF invoice
Unfortunately, there isn't any simple way to generate PDF invoices automatically with my course platform at the moment. But I am always happy to send one manual invoice to every course buyer.
If you are going to require an invoice, my suggestion would be to wait for the trial month to complete, decide on whether you wish to upgrade or not, and then send me an email requesting the invoice. Depending on your choice, I will send you a manual invoice with the complete list of payments made till date.
9 The price of the membership will keep going up over time
The price of the membership will track the price of the lifetime access price. To keep things simple, I am just dividing the lifetime access price by 10 for now.
The lifetime access price itself will also keep going up over time as I add more material to the bundle.
10 Upcoming price increase
On end of day August 13th 2019 (Pacific Standard Time), the lifetime price of the Toolkit bundle goes to $319 and price of monthly membership will be going to $32 per month.
