I have been receiving a few requests of late from clients who want me to refer someone to work on their Dialogflow project as I don't have the bandwidth for it right now. And just for the record, these are clients who pay quite well , and not some wannabe Mark Zuckerberg looking for freelancers on Upwork who can build a Facebook clone for $200.
Are you interested? Please do the following:
1 Create a bot on Telegram using Dialogflow
You can create whatever kind of bot you want, as long as it showcases your abilities.
2 Make sure the bot calls a webhook
If you cannot set up a webhook in the programming language of your choice, that means you are not the right candidate for this. You can probably use Firebase's free tier and get the entire thing set up for free.
3 Put up a detailed project description on GitHub
Make the description as detailed as possible. If you shared the description page with someone, they should be able to understand what your bot does as well as get it to work as expected. Imagine you are going to add that bot to your portfolio (which is true in a way).
Important: Upload your agent's ZIP file to your GitHub project.
4 Fill out this form
5 Purchase a course from me (optional)
It is not required, but if you have already purchased a course from me, I will think that's a good sign
Once I have a group of interested people, I will probably create some kind of private Slack community or maybe a dedicated email list or something where the employers can get in touch with you. Its quite relative of course. But for the typical reader of my blog (and Google Analytics tells me that if I exclude every single person who lives in a high COL, high salary location like California, my website traffic will not fall by much), its pretty good pay Why Telegram? It will allow you to display rich responses, doesn't have a tedious approval process, and you can actually do very fancy integrations quite easily because their API is clear to understand and quite powerful Because it means you are willing to invest in your learning, plus you will not make the kind of mistakes that I see some Dialogflow programmers make. If you are an employer looking to hire freelancers to build your Dialogflow chatbot, you should probably get on my email list. That way, even if I don't get enough freelancers expressing interest, you will at least get weekly updates on the topic of Dialogflow 🙂
